Dear Readers,

We enter every New Year with hope, leading the turn from the 31st to the 1st to make amends and resolutions, promising ourselves and our circle of family, colleagues, friends and community to make a change for the better. On this note of joyful beginnings, we send you an end of the year missive TURN 2023.

Our lead article An Iconic Gold is about our award-winning icon design for Gender Neutral for which we won a Gold at the German Design awards. We share this good news with deep satisfaction that in some small measure we have contributed to people and communities with a sense of giving pride of place and inclusive representation.

Anthony Lopez’s column A 100 Words, this time titled Bite Small Grow Big, compares Haiku and Social Media, both requiring creative effort to keep messaging short and impactful.
