Red Alert

July-Red-Alert-1

Dear Readers,

Across the world and especially in India, the color red has sacred and ceremonial associations. It is a color of pomp and glory. It is also the color used to code danger, since it has the longest wavelength of the spectrum and is spotted easily even at a distance. This newsletter bulletin RED ALERT is a call to recognize the need for vigilant communications in a world fraught with climate change disasters. For humanity to act together, first, we all have to be convinced that each of us can contribute and make a change. 'In a 100 words' by Anthony Lopez, this time, touches on seeding ourselves right to nurture the genius in each one of us in Find your mojo.

Red just happens to be the thematic color of the handcrafted book we designed for Learning4Impact inspired by the art of Bahi-Khata. Read about this bespoke farewell token, specially made for outgoing USAID India Health Officer Sangita Patel, in our article Reviving the art of ‘book-keeping’.

Design stalwart Ramu Dhara from Brooklyn, NYC and publishing veteran Alpana Khare visited our studio and had a jam session with Lopez Design founder Anthony Lopez. Dive into Gerleo Nimalan’s takeaways in the article  — Takes Three to Tango.

Finally, in Type Right, you’ll get precious first hand insights gleaned from Ek Type co-founder Sarang Kulkarni, whom we had the privilege of hosting at our studio.

Stay tuned for our next big event, unfolding soon!
