Beau Geste

Dear Readers,

The word design conjures up an abundance of creative work and thinking, and we designers are always considered lucky for having jobs where we can do what we love. Many jobs require routine work, and design is often thought of as a departure from the norm, giving us the freedom to tread alternative paths.

Design brings with it great responsibility, and our final solution as branding experts needs to work at many levels of visual stimulation, tactility and memorability, while being relevant for times to come. In this October 2021 issue Beau Geste our Principal Anthony Lopez writes about ‘God lies in the details’ where he discusses the merits of finer details in design.

Beau Geste means a fine gesture and design is about making such fine offerings. When form and function blend together, we find the perfected design. The wonder of a well-designed object, graphic or architecture is its ability to connect with people and bring joy, serving both functionally and aesthetically, just as a tree, a waterfall or a bird may do.
