We live in a world where communication is a primary need, and the urge to talk and connect has reached an all time high. Food, shelter, and clothing have long been accepted as mankind’s basic necessities. Yet, living beings are connected and act together only because of communication systems.

In her 2014 New Yorker article When Fish Shout, Emily Anthes writes about how fish are not as silent as we believe. “Altogether, more than 800 fish species are known to hoot, moan, grunt, groan, thump, bark, or otherwise vocalize.”

Every species has its language, as does every human community.

How do we communicate across nations, cultures, and languages with a single brand story? This became our challenge for PMNCH’s new initiative: to create a movement that stirs the youth and adolescent population in the world, the largest ever, to act for change.
