No. 9
Dear Readers,
“If music be the food of love, play on”, sighs Orsino, the Duke of Illyria, consumed by unrequited love in the opening act of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. He means, he wants to be sickened so much by an overdose of a good thing, so he can naturally escape his affliction. And then Twelfth Night delves into all kinds of complications that love brings and its many shades, so much so that Orsino’s love interest Olivia falls in love with Viola, a woman disguised as a young boy, wooing Olivia on Orsino’s behalf.
Shakespeare’s genius to unravel the many qualities of love, and its power to appear as something it is not, makes us question the very meaning of love. In brands too we create ideas for people to fall in love with, obsessed with the idea of finding a genuine truth, but then also we may be attracted to something more superficial, and we can be in love with such a thing too!
In this edition No. 9, we bring you an article on What Professionalism means for Brands Today. Our recent forum on August 20th got together a coveted panel of speakers and in Resurrection Now we share snippets of the talks, how the day transpired and the much awaited-for wine and jazz evening.
