The beginning of 2024 saw the fruition of an internal studio project that has been a long time in the making. My team and I watched in disbelief as our principal collaborator fearlessly stepped onto a quickly-rigged scaffolding to make last-minute touches to a stunning product. We couldn’t wrap our heads around what we were seeing — to what extent my peer was personally invested in achieving perfection. The gesture spoke volumes about how much their creation mattered to this person. If your work doesn’t feel worthy, perhaps it’s time to pause and consider if you should be doing something else.
