Dear Reader,

It’s April and we celebrate the turn of March with Holi, the Festival of Colours, the Festival of Love and the Festival of Spring. At our studio, we have an abundant blessing of flowers in a profusion of colors.  We take this occasion to pause and celebrate the wonderful creations of Nature. Trees and flowers symbolise growth, expansion, knowledge, enlightenment, shelter, food, support and life itself.

Unintentionally and happily, our newsletter Colors of Spring features Nature in both our articles, in very different ways. The Making of Bihar Museum, is about the opening event at the Bihar Museum Biennale. We looked back at how the Museum was made, the architecture, the museum design and Lopez Design’s role in it — the branding and identity which was inspired by the much-loved Peepul Tree of Bihar.

Riverhills: Wayfinding and Signage is about our wayfinding and signage design for Central Park, Godrej’s Riverhills township in Mahalunge, Pune. Signage becomes an essential way to enter the natural world, and also understand it better in order to holistically experience it.

We wish you new beginnings this spring with fresh buds of creativity, hope and happiness.

Warm regards,
Anthony Lopez
