We approach every project with a commitment to truth, integrity, and responsibility. Our diverse team is open and collaborative, working together to draw out the unique essence of each brand we touch.

We put truth, integrity, and responsibility first in our work, and we hold ourselves accountable for the impact of our designs on users and society. At Lopez, we foster a supportive environment where creativity thrives and every voice is heard.

Role Overview

We are looking for a UX & UI Designer with up to 2 years of experience to join our team.
You will be responsible for turning ideas and requirements into user-centred designs that are visually appealing, easy to use, and aligned with client goals. From initial wireframing and concept development to high-fidelity mockups and final handoff, you will orchestrate the user experience from ideation to completion. On some projects, you will independently lead the design vision, while on others you will collaborate closely with fellow designers, developers, product managers, and clients.

This is a full-time, on-site role at our Gurgaon studio, a place where the craft of design is a relentless pursuit, not just a job. You will join a team that is uncompromising in its commitment to innovation, integrity, and design excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • User Research & Requirements: Collaborate with clients, product managers, and stakeholders to gather and understand user requirements and business objectives for each project.
  • Conceptualisation: Create user flow diagrams, sitemaps and wireframes to visualize design solutions and define the structure of websites or applications.
  • Wireframing & Prototyping: Design low-fidelity wireframes and high-fidelity UI mockups for web and mobile interfaces. Build interactive prototypes using Figma, Webflow, or other prototyping tools to communicate functionality and user flow.
  • Visual Design: Craft clean, engaging visual designs for user interfaces, including defining layouts, typography, and colour palettes in line with the project’s brand guidelines. Design UI elements and components (navigation menus, buttons, icons, forms, etc.) that are both aesthetic and intuitive.
  • Iteration & Usability: Incorporate feedback from users, clients, and team members to refine and improve designs. Identify and resolve UX pain points – for example, improving page layouts for responsiveness or adjusting workflows to be more user-friendly. Iterate on designs based on usability testing findings or analytics insights to ensure an optimal user experience.
  • Presentation & Communication: Present design concepts, mockups, and prototypes to internal teams and clients, clearly articulating your design rationale and how solutions address user needs and objectives. Communicate effectively to incorporate feedback and achieve buy-in on design decisions.
  • Collaboration & Implementation: Work closely with front-end developers during the handoff and development phases to ensure design fidelity and smooth implementation of your designs. Provide detailed design specifications and assets (and occasionally tweak HTML/CSS in Webflow or code) to bridge the gap between design and development.
  • Consistency & Standards: Maintain consistency in visual standards across projects. When applicable, contribute to or establish style guides and design systems to ensure a cohesive look and feel across all user interfaces.
  • Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies. Proactively share insights and propose improvements to our design processes, tools, or approaches to continually elevate the quality of our work.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related discipline is typically required or strongly preferred. A strong, relevant portfolio can, in some cases, substitute for a formal degree.

Preferably an experience in a UX-UI Studio or a Design Studio

Experience: The role requires a candidate with a proven track record.

  1. Junior-Level: Up to 2 years of professional experience as a UX/UI Designer, preferably within a design agency or a fast-paced in-house team.
  2. Technical Proficiency: Mastery of industry-standard design and prototyping tools is essential such as:
  • Core Tools: Advanced proficiency with Figma for wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity design is a must.
  • Supporting Tools: Experience with other tools like the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Sketch, and Webflow.

Portfolio: A strong, professional portfolio is non-negotiable. It should:

  • Showcase Process: Clearly illustrate your end-to-end design process with detailed case studies, including user research, wireframes, user flows, and mockups.
  • Demonstrate Impact: Explain the problem you solved, your design rationale, and the final impact of your work (e.g., improved user engagement, reduced friction).
  • Highlight Versatility: Feature a range of projects that demonstrate your skills across different platforms (e.g., mobile apps, websites, SaaS platforms).

Core Competencies (Hard Skills):

  • User Research & Testing: Proven ability to conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability testing to inform design decisions.
  • Information Architecture (IA): Experience in organizing and structuring complex content to create intuitive navigation.
  • Visual Design: A strong understanding of design principles including typography, color theory, and layout.
  • Prototyping: The ability to create both low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes.
  • Familiarity with Development: A basic understanding of front-end technologies like HTML and CSS is a plus, as it helps in effective collaboration with developers.

Soft Skills:

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate design decisions to clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaboration: A proven ability to work effectively within a team and take constructive feedback.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and analytical skills to address complex user and business challenges.
